In 2022, Global Foundation for Community Development LBG (GFfCD) hosted its Sustainability Leadership Summit at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale Campus.
The summit was built around one theme: Developing the Right Attitude & Mindset to Become Ambassadors for the Sustainable Development Goals.
It brought together students, sustainability advocates, academics, development practitioners, technology professionals and youth representatives. Together, they discussed how leadership and personal mindset shape progress on the SDGs, in careers, businesses and communities.
More than 300 students took part in the summit’s sustainability and youth leadership activities.
Why it matters
At GFfCD, we believe young people are not simply beneficiaries of development. They are partners, innovators, leaders and problem-solvers. The summit gave students a platform to connect global goals with practical action in their own communities.
What’s next
The summit is now part of GFfCD’s ongoing Sustainability & Innovation Summit series. Organisations interested in partnering on the next edition can reach us at info@gffcd.org.
